Big Questions: What structures help animals and plants survive in the desert?
Small Question: What are internal and external structures?
Objective: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to construct an argument that explains how plants and animals have internal and external structures that function to support survival, growth, behavior, and reproduction, with a focus on desert environments. They will explore native vs non-native plants. Students will also create science journal entries to document their learning.
Materials: Water bottles and sunscreen. JTREE will provide remaining materials.
