Grade 5: Prep for JTNP Field Trip

“Our Desert Ecosystem”

REQUIREMENT:  All 6th grade classes who register to attend the field trip into Joshua Tree National Park on January 22, 23, or 25 must also register for this session.

Where We Live: Understanding the Uniqueness of the Desert is in preparation for the field trip “Oasis Visits the Desert.” During this short session, students will review how to dress for weather safety in Joshua Tree National Park, as well as reviewing behavior that creates positive learning opportunities. Students will be provided a checklist of what to bring and how to prepare the day of the field trip as a reminder. 

Additionally, the students will be prepared for their special role as mentors/leaders each assigned a 3rd grade student.
