Part III: Solar Print Quilt Designs

Objective:

Last year students explored the basics of the photographic process by creating a solar photogram using cyanotype chemistry and found objects. A photogram is made by placing objects directly onto paper and then exposing to light. At the end of the session, Artist Instructor Diana made quilted displays of their works to hang in public places.  This year 6th grade students will collaborate in small groups on designing their own solar print art installation. This will be a 3 workshop process. 

Materials: Water bottles and sunscreen. JTREE will provide remaining materials.
